Schools Involvement Officer PDF Print E-mail

PC David Turtle is our new Schools Involvement Officer. He will be working with us making sure we all are as safe as possible both within school and outside in the community. He is in the process of bringing together a website of resources which we'll link to as soon as it's live.

Meanwhile here’s a link to some useful information for young people from the Metropolitan Police Service on crime prevention and how to stay safe.

100 Club Initiative PDF Print E-mail

100 Club Initiative
We want to raise regular income to support projects that help children in the Hospital School so we are starting a 100+ club. This is a kind of lottery whereby members buy one or more shares in the club annually and then have the chance of winning prizes, which will be awarded twice a year. We hope to sell at least 100 shares, thus having £1000 in the pot, of which 30% will be awarded as prizes and 70% will go to the charity. Prize money will always be 30% of the total raised. The more shares we sell the bigger the prizes and the more money we shall have to help children in the hospital school.

Ofsted PDF Print E-mail
OFSTED inspectors visited us in June 2007,
and we have been judged ‘outstanding in every area'.
The inspectors said: “This is an outstanding school. Parents are overwhelmingly appreciative of the excellent quality of provision for their children". The OFSTED inspectors went on to say
The school benefits from outstanding leadership and management. The headteacher and all staff are dedicated to enabling children to achieve as well as they can during a difficult time in their lives.”

The comments of both parents and pupils who spoke to the OFSTED inspectors confirmed the excellence of the school, which provides education for children at Chelsea and Westminster, St Mary’s, Royal Brompton Hospital & Collingham Gardens.

One parent said
My daughter has blossomed at this school” while another said “Our son has made fantastic progress, we cannot praise the school enough.”

The OFSTED inspectors reported speaking to one pupil who said that
"Chelsea Children’s Hospital School was the best thing that had ever happened to him".
