Comenius

gaza_thumbSince receiving the International School Award from the British Council in 2010, we have continued our educational links with a number of schools in different countries.
As part of the Nour Festival we set up a live link-up with the Jabalia Prep "A" School in Gaza.
We have a continuing project between our two schools in which the students explore and share lifestyles, cultural differences and comparisons of their environments. Students and members of the public asked their own questions to children and teachers from the school.

In June four Polish teachers visited us and taught our pupils about their region, Silesia. We were interested to compare ways in which we are all trying to care for the environment. Our pupils learnt that pupils in Strzyżowice  collected all their plastic drinks bottles and saw how they were sorted and recycled at this facility. Watch the video and see if you can see what is being collected?

Your World Our World Following on from the success of 'Friendship Without Borders', we are now embarking upon another EU Comenius project, entitled 'Your World Our World'...

The Big Question……..How does what we do locally to / in our environment affect us all?

So far we have 5 confirmed schools who want to work together: The Chelsea Community Hospital School in London, UK.  Strzyzowice Primary School,  Poland. The 2nd Special Nursery school of Patras, Greece (together with some of the teachers with the 2nd Special Primary School.  Sairaalakoulu Oulu, Oulu Hospital School, Finland and the Parma Hospital School, Italy.
