Modern Languages
We are equipped to support the learning of French & Spanish at Key Stage 3&4. French is a timetabled session on each site. We have good ICT and other resources, which allow us to respond to group or individual needs.
The use of the target language is promoted as much as possible at whatever level. Key Stage 3 pupils use the Equipe French course supplemented with the house materials. Key Stage 4 pupils have access to a wider range of course materials including GCSE revision papers / ICT or revision and Independent Study. Pupils use a wide range of language learning skills and frequently have opportunities to make e.pals links with schools and French speaking pupils. We regularly visit the Institut Françaìs, the French children’s library and the French shops in South Kensington’s ‘French Quarter’.
