Wellbeing walk with our students this afternoon. Tree hugging has been a part of relaxing and calming routines connecting with nature.
Judith popped by to see Ava in her online lesson with Faith and Charlotte today. We have been learning about landmarks around the world and Judith had chosen the perfect book - 'A Walk In Paris'. Ava loved following the story with Judith - and hearing about The Louvre, The Eiffel Tower and the Arc de Triomphe.
Today Ava was very happy to see our lovely head teacher, Janette, in her online lesson. She was also delighted to meet Janette's animals - a dog, a cat, two guinea pigs, a chameleon and a snake! Ava laughed a lot when the chameleon sat on Janette's head! What a great way to end another week of school.
Children have a joint music session with Brian every Thursday afternoon. Today we drew pictures and created shapes with our bodies to become the song's characters. We also pulled funny faces to make each other laugh!
Here is one of our students with Lala our Learning Mentor, starting the day with a Joe Wicks, PE workout. We now have a new space outside the hospital for our community students to attend school.
Faith and Charlotte teaching Ava online. We have been reading William Shakespeare's 'A Midsummer Night's Dream' and here is Ava telling me some of her favourite characters, as Faith writes them down. You might be wondering why we are laughing - well, did you know there is a character in 'A Midsummer Night's Dream' called Bottom?!
