The theme for Mental Health Awareness Week 2020 is Kindness. Students at Lavender Walk wanted to do something nice for all those who work with them so they wrote "thank you notes" and stuck them around the ward for staff to find!

Kindness Awareness Posters

Students at Lavender Walk made kindness awareness posters for Mental Health Awareness Week. Exploring the science they discovered that acts of kindness produce a number of hormones in the body that help both our physical and mental health. 

City of London Sinfonia Workshop

Just before the Christmas break, City of London Sinfonia, featuring sound artist Gawain Hewitt and Ruth Molins trombonist, along with Fiona Lambert their Director of Participation, delivered a workshop for young people on the Lavendar Walk unit.

Diwali celebrations

Pupils at Lavender Walk joined in with Diwali celebrations by creating their own Salt Dough Divas and decorating them. We lit battery candles to see them in their full glory!
