Geography Fieldtrips

This term we went on a geography field trip to Epping Forest to investigate how river characteristics change with distance downstream on Loughton Brook. This involved measuring the depth and width of the river channel—which was surprisingly dry for this time of year!

The next field trip took place in Stratford and Hackney, investigating how the regeneration of the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park has impacted the local area. This involved completing land use surveys and gathering responses from the public using questionnaires.

It was great to get out of the classroom and learn about all the different fieldwork techniques.
